Preview: Dade Christian Crusaders vs. Gulliver Prep Raiders
The Dade Christian Crusaders just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Gulliver Prep Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Dade Christian struggled with threes on Tuesday (Booker T. Washington had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Dade Christian took a 56-37 bruising from Booker T. Washington. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Dade Christian has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kevin Rojo, who scored 12 points along with five assists. Kenvenson Malivert was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Gulliver Prep lost to NSU University at home by a decisive 67-53 margin on Monday. While losing is never fun, Gulliver Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 189th, while NSU University is ranked 28th).
Dade Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Gulliver Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Dade Christian might still be hurting after the 74-49 loss they got from Gulliver Prep when the teams last played back in January of 2022. Thankfully for Dade Christian, Jeremy Arnum (who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
