Baseball Recap: Ingraham's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games

After flying high against Rainier Beach last Saturday, Ingraham came back down to earth. The Rams fell just short of the Seattle Academy Cardinals by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The matchup marked the Rams' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ingraham got a good showing from Blake Stauff, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Stauff has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Landon Miller was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-6 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Edgar Pravitz, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ingraham fell to 7-1. As for Seattle Academy, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Ingraham has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Ballard on the 4th. As for Seattle Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-1 victory against Cleveland on the 2nd.
