Baseball Recap: Red Bank Takes a Loss

After flying high against Williamsburg on Friday, Red Bank came back down to earth. The Lions wound up with the same score they had in their last game (9-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Anyer Alvarez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Red Bank's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Hardin Valley Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4-1 record this season.

Red Bank will take on Anderson County in a tournament on Saturday. The Mavericks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hardin Valley Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Farragut at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
