Austin strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Hockaday Daisies by a score of 2-0.

Austin never let Hockaday on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-22.

Riley Malloy paced Austin's offense, picking up nine kills. Malloy got some help from Maggie McCarroll and her eight assists. Malloy also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Nora Bettis, racking up two apiece.

Austin's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Hockaday, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-7.

Austin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Lebanon Trail on the 22nd. As for Hockaday, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against McKinney Boyd on the 22nd.
