Volleyball Recap: Aubrey Lawhorn and Landis Williams Secure Win for West Johnston + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only West Johnston walked away with it. They put the hurt on the West Brunswick Trojans with a sharp 3-0 win on Saturday. The Wildcats not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since September 11th (when they won 3-0).

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19, 25-13.

West Johnston was led to victory by Landis Williams and Aubrey Lawhorn. Williams had 13 digs, while Lawhorn had seven aces and three digs. Those seven aces gave Lawhorn a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: West Johnston was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matches.

West Johnston is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season. As for West Brunswick, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-17.

Coming up, West Johnston will venture away from home to challenge Middle Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Brunswick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
