Recap: Triton Central Tigers vs. Danville Warriors

The Triton Central Tigers struggled with three-point shooting accuracy on Tuesday (the Danville Warriors were 21% better) and sadly the final score reflected it. Triton Central took a 46-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Danville. If Triton Central hoped to take revenge for the 67-59 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hailey Harris, who scored five points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maryrose Felling, who scored 14 points.

Danville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emma Ancelet, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Ava Walls, who scored 12 points.

Triton Central's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Danville, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Triton Central will take on Beech Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Beech Grove will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Danville won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Western Boone at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Western Boone will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Danville is ranked 42nd).
