Baseball Recap: Nederland Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Nederland couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 8-1 to the Kingwood Park Panthers on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 on Thursday.

Nederland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Ray, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Nederland has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 27-10 record this season. As for Kingwood Park, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 32-8-1.

As of now, neither Nederland nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
