Basketball Recap: McKenzie Gets the Win

McKenzie won the last time they faced Straughn and Quay Jackson did his part to make sure it happened again. McKenzie strolled past Straughn with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 50-33 for which the team can thank Jackson, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 18 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.6 boards per game.

McKenzie's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Straughn, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, McKenzie will host Pleasant Home at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Straughn, they will head out to square off against Ariton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
