Baseball Game Preview: Kent-Meridian Royals vs. Auburn Mountainview Lions

For the second straight game, Kent-Meridian will face off against Auburn Mountainview. The Royals will venture away from home to challenge the Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Monday just wasn't the day for Kent-Meridian's offense. They lost 10-0 to Auburn Mountainview on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Royals in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost nine in a row.

For Auburn Mountainview's part, the team relied heavily on Imani Brown, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. The Lions are 3-1 when Brown posts two or more runs, but 3-7 otherwise. Danner Philbrick also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Auburn Mountainview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kent-Meridian only posted a batting average of .100.

Kent-Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Auburn Mountainview, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
