Basketball Recap: L'Anse Creuse Comes Up Short

L'Anse Creuse lost against Fraser back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The L'Anse Creuse Lancers lost to the Fraser Ramblers at home by a 70-56 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (55), the Lancers still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, L'Anse Creuse still got an impressive performance from Logan Kurtz, who posted 18 points. Dorian Johnson was another key player, putting up 12 points.

L'Anse Creuse dropped their record down to 3-16 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points over those games. As for Fraser, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-14 record this season.

Looking ahead, L'Anse Creuse is taking a road trip to face off against Lakeview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. L'Anse Creuse is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.5 points per game this season. As for Fraser, they will be playing at home against Utica at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fraser is facing Utica at the right time seeing as Utica is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
