The Elkin Buckin' Elks will challenge the North Wilkes Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Elkin not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 2nd (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Wilkes Central with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Buckin' Elks in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.

While Elkin might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Wilkes Central scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-22, 25-22.

Meanwhile, North Wilkes posted their closest victory since October 16, 2024 on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Ashe County 3-2.

North Wilkes wouldn't go down easily and took Ashe County into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 25-19, 25-19, 14-25, 15-13.

Elkin's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for North Wilkes, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.
