Recap: Danville Warriors vs. Monrovia Bulldogs
The Danville Warriors had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They strolled past Monrovia with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 66-51. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Danville also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Danville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lukas McMahon out in front who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds. Jace Scrafton was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 6 rebounds.
Monrovia's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hayden McCloud, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tucker Rahn, who scored 14 points.
Danville's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Monrovia, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Danville will take on Bethesda Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Monrovia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cascade at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Cascade focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Wednesday.
