Soccer Recap: Georgetown Comes Up Short

Georgetown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clermont Northeastern Rockets.

Georgetown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-2. As for Clermont Northeastern, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Georgetown will welcome Williamsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clermont Northeastern, they will take on Bethel-Tate at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clermont Northeastern will be up against Bethel-Tate's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.88 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
