The Jordan-Matthews Jets will square off against the Red Springs Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jordan-Matthews is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Jordan-Matthews' offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Eastern Randolph on Thursday. They were dealt a 49-0 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Jets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Wildcats are ranked 100th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Red Springs, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They were the clear victors by a 28-8 margin over Fairmont on Friday. The Red Devils have beaten the Golden Tornadoes the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Golden Tornadoes has come to flipping the script.

Red Springs' win came from a few key players Jordan-Matthews will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Chase Boone, who threw for 253 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 73.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 31 yards. Red Springs also got a significant boost from Raymond Blue Jr, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 101 yards.

Jordan-Matthews' defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Red Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
