Football Recap: Hammond Takes a Loss

After soaring to 35 points the game before, Hammond was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were dealt a 41-12 loss at the hands of the St. Paul's Wolves. The Tornadoes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.

When it comes to explaining why Hammond lost, don't look at Zalen Bennett. Despite the final result, he rushed for 98 yards on only 12 carries.

Hammond's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2. As for St. Paul's, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
