Softball Recap: Jonesboro-Hodge Takes a Loss

Jonesboro-Hodge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Homer Pelicans.

Jonesboro-Hodge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was S Bonds, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. Bonds has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. K Aaron also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Jonesboro-Hodge's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Homer, their victory bumped their record up to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Jonesboro-Hodge will face off against Saline at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Homer, they will welcome Plain Dealing at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.67 runs per game on average), something the Pelicans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
