Soccer Preview: Lorain Meets Steele

The Lorain Titans will square off against the Steele Comets at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Steele is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.0 goals per game this season.

Lorain fell victim to Brunswick and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Lorain can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 485th, while Brunswick are ranked 113th).

Meanwhile, Steele's game on Wednesday was all tied up 2-2 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Olmsted Falls 3-2.

Steele is now 5-3, having gone 1-2 since their three-game winning streak ended. As for Lorain, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
