Baseball Recap: Mendon Unity Takes a Loss

Mendon Unity fell victim to Illini West and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. The Mustangs just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Mendon Unity's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Illini West, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Mendon Unity will be playing at home against Clark County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Illini West, they will head out to square off against Macomb at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bombers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Chargers surely won't give up without a fight.
