Neumann is 2-8 against Seacrest Country Day since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Neumann will host Seacrest Country Day at 6:00 p.m. Neumann is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.
Neumann took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let Cypress Lake get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. Considering the Celtics have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Sophia Escobar, who gave up just two hits and racked up 18 Ks to keep Cypress Lake off the board. Those 18 strikeouts gave Escobar a new career-high.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brooke Shefsky, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Jacie Barth was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Seacrest Country Day entered their game against Oasis on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Seacrest Country Day lost 13-4 to Oasis.
Caroline Porter was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and seven unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Jolie Booth was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Madi Haberman, who scored a run and stole four bases while going 3-for-4.
Neumann's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.9 runs over those games. As for Seacrest Country Day, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Seacrest Country Day's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Neumann hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. It's a different story for Seacrest Country Day, though, as they've only averaged .241. Will they be able to contain Neumann's hitters?
Neumann suffered a grim 12-1 defeat to Seacrest Country Day in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Neumann avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
