Basketball Game Preview: Hamilton Hawkeyes vs. Spring Lake Lakers

The Hamilton Hawkeyes will venture away from home to challenge the Spring Lake Lakers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hamilton easily dispatched Holland on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Hamilton fell just short of Unity Christian by a score of 46-43 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Spring Lake came up short against Holland Christian on Friday and fell 58-51. The loss continues a trend for the Lakers in their matchups with the Maroons: they've now lost eight in a row.

Hamilton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Spring Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Hamilton beat Spring Lake 37-27 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hamilton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
