Indian Land has gone a perfect 4-0 against Fort Mill recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warriors will square off against the Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Indian Land has eight straight victories, Fort Mill has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Indian Land's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 35-0 win over Clover. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 24 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indian Land to victory, but perhaps none more so than Matt Kucia, who threw for 300 yards and four TDs while completing 87.1% of his passes. That's the most passing touchdowns Kucia has posted since back in October of 2024. Indian Land's leading receiver Sequel Patterson was Kucia's top target yet again, picking up 128 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Meanwhile, Fort Mill ended up a good deal behind Northwestern last Friday and lost 56-40. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Trojans are ranked fourth).
Indian Land will have to keep a close watch on Jameson Terrell and Broden Mitcheson, a pair of players who had a big impact on Fort Mill's prior game. Terrell picked up 192 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Mitcheson gained 149 total yards and three touchdowns. Terrell is becoming a predictor of Fort Mill's success: when he posts at least 80 receiving yards the team is 2-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Gray Patterson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Fort Mill didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jeremiah Young and Patterson. Patterson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Indian Land's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Fort Mill, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Friday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. Indian Land has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 196.4 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Fort Mill, though, as they've been averaging only 87.9 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Indian Land strolled past Fort Mill in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 20-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
