Volleyball Recap: Leopold's Undefeated Season over After 11 Games

It was a proper cat-fight when Leopold duked it out with Central on Saturday. The Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Tigers. The loss was the Wildcats' first of the season.

Rylie Schreiner paced Leopold's offense, picking up 13 kills. Schreiner got some help from Ashtyn Van De Ven and her 23 assists. Piper Lincoln controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Among those leading the charge was Sophie Haggerty, who had ten digs, six kills, and two aces. That's the most kills she has posted over her last nine matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Kirn, who had 16 assists and one block.

Leopold's loss dropped their record down to 8-1-2. As for Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4-2 record this season.

Leopold didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Oran on the 16th. As for Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Winona on the 13th.
