Basketball Recap: Marengo Takes a Loss

Marengo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Plano Reapers 75-44. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-34 back in December of 2024.

Marengo's loss dropped their record down to 4-23. As for Plano, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Marengo won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Round Lake at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Plano, they will face off against Woodstock at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Plano knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Woodstock likes a good challenge.
