Basketball Recap: Landon Comes Up Short

Landon saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Loyola Blakefield Dons. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (55), the Bears still had to take the loss.

Mason Ellison continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Loyola Blakefield, putting up 23 points. Jesse Legree was another key player, posting 12 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Landon and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Loyola Blakefield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Landon will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Woodbridge at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Loyola Blakefield, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-42 win against St. Mary's Ryken on the 22nd.
