Soccer Recap: Pinecrest Academy Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Pinecrest Academy has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the East Forsyth Broncos who were credited with the victory on Friday. The East Forsyth Broncos got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Pinecrest Academy Paladins' four. Pinecrest Academy were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Forsyth apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Pinecrest Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for East Forsyth, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pinecrest Academy will face off against Buford at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for East Forsyth, they will square off against West Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
