Recap: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders vs. Victoria East Titans
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders had no problem doing just that on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Titans 42-7 on the road. The win was just business as usual for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Ethan Guerra continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 280 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. Guerra was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards. Another player making a difference was Alejandro Aparicio, who rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown.
Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Victoria East, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North will square off against Veterans Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Veterans Memorial: 13.8, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North: 4.3) so any points scored will be well earned. Victoria East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
