It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Caldwell Academy can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rocky Mount Academy on Saturday. Caldwell Academy's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Caldwell Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-23, 25-20, 28-26.

Anna Lapeirre paced Caldwell Academy's offense, picking up 18 kills. Lapeirre were helped by Kate Belanger and Lilli Telleysh, who contributed 12 assists each. Belanger was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.
