Softball Recap: Central Bucks West Victorious

Central Bucks West's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Conwell-Egan Catholic Eagles, sneaking past 5-4. The Bucks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Ana Glemser spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Katherine James, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Sammy Hooven, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Central Bucks West now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Bucks West will head out to take on Archbishop Wood at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, they will take on Council Rock North at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
