Bartow piles up the points against Mulberry

Recap: Bartow Yellow Jackets vs. Mulberry Panthers

The Bartow Yellow Jackets can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They blew past Mulberry 78-42 on the road. Given Bartow's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Panthers are ranked 485th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bartow found their leader in underclassman Ja'kylen Crossley, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Crossley posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Thompson, who scored 12 points along with two steals.

Bartow's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-9. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.3 points. As for Mulberry, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bartow will take on the Bloodhounds at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mulberry, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Red Devils at 8:00 p.m.
