Pacifica and Canyon are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Mariners will host the Comanches at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Pacifica 4, Canyon 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Canyon will be up against a hot Pacifica team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Mariners' pitcher stepped up to hand El Modena a 3-0 shutout on Thursday.

The result came thanks to Shay Kletke's shutout, as she gave up just four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Pacifica saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Serena Antillon, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. That's the most hits Antillon has posted since back in February. Abigail Amezquita was another, earning two RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

El Modena hit Canyon with a four-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Comanches fell 5-1 to the Vanguards.

Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Pacifica, their win bumped their record up to 15-8.
