Softball Recap: Wilson Area Warriors vs. Bangor Slaters
Wilson Area lost against Bangor back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Wilson Area came up short against Bangor, falling 9-3. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Wilson Area saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tessa Fredericks, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Fredericks a new career-high. Ava Barrows Edwin also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Wilson Area's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Bangor, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilson Area will venture away from home to challenge Southern Lehigh at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bangor, they will challenge Pen Argyl at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bangor's pitchers better be ready for this one: Pen Argyl has averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
