Rich Township extended their winning streak  to three  on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 11-12 in the process. They blew past the Thornton Wildcats 18-4. The result was nothing new for the Raptors, who have now won 11 matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Jesiah Dawson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and only one walk). He also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because Rich Township is 5-2 when he allows at  most  one  earned run, but 6-10 otherwise. Dawson was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. He has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last four times he's  played.
 In other batting news,  Gio Rivera was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs and one  RBI. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high.
 Rich Township  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 17  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
As for Thornton,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 9-11-1. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by  exactly 14  runs.
 On Thornton's side,  Jovontae Wade and  Antoine Bishop stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Wade  earned two  RBI, one  run,  and three  stolen bases, while  Bishop  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  run.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rich Township will welcome Crete-Monee  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Thornton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Corliss  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday.
