Heritage extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday, bumping them up to 5-1. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 58-53 W against the Clarke Central Gladiators. While the Patriots didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

As for Clarke Central, they now have a losing record of 2-3. The contest marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Clarke Central lost, don't look at Andrea Cox. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds. Cox has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more boards the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taalid Gipson, who posted nine points.

Heritage didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-60 defeat against Social Circle on the 29th. As for Clarke Central, they will face off against Madison County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
