Basketball Recap: Derby Comes Up Short

Derby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the St. Paul Catholic Falcons 54-26. The matchup marked the Red Raiders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Shea Gray was Derby's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Emma Desanty held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. Alexis Cavallaro took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Derby's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for St. Paul Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

While Derby had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
