Softball Game Preview: Middleborough Sachems vs. Carver Crusaders

Middleborough is a perfect 9-0 against Carver since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Sachems will head out on the road to take on the Crusaders at 4:00 p.m. Middleborough has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Middleborough came up short against Case on Friday, falling 13-1.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Carver's offense. They lost 12-0 to Sandwich last Wednesday. The Crusaders' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row dating back to last season.

Middleborough now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Carver, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Middleborough beat Carver 9-5 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sachems since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
