Recap: Hebbronville Longhorns vs. Banquete Bulldogs

Hebbronville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Banquete apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Hebbronville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jeffery Shreve, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Alejandro Vasquez, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and three blocks.
Banquete's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andrew Elizondo, who scored 15 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isiah Ramirez, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Hebbronville has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season. As for Banquete, their victory ended a 15-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-17.
Hebbronville will take on San Diego at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. San Diego presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hebbronville in Texas (San Diego is ranked 664th, while Hebbronville is ranked 1565th). As for Banquete, they will head out on the road to face off against Falfurrias at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Falfurrias' favor as the team sits on nine straight wins at home while Banquete has been banged up by 17 consecutive losses on the road.
