While East Duplin put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for South Lenoir. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Blue Devils 1-0. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Blue Devils back in March, they had to take a 8-6 defeat.

East Duplin's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Karsyn Parker, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

East Duplin is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for South Lenoir, they moved to 7-4 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

East Duplin has already played their next match, an 8-1 victory against Wallace-Rose Hill on the 10th. As for South Lenoir, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 win against Southwest Onslow on the 10th.
