Recap: Wallace Wildcats vs. Hyannis Longhorns
The Wallace Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. The matchup between Wallace and Hyannis wasn't particularly close, with Wallace falling 49-34. Wallace has struggled against Hyannis recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Wallace's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jason Fisher, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Lungrin, who scored 8 points along with 3 steals.
Wallace's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Hyannis, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Wallace will be playing in front of their home fans against Sutherland on Tuesday. Sutherland comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Hyannis, they will head out on the road to face off against Gordon-Rushville on Tuesday. Gordon-Rushville comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
