Baseball Game Preview: Hardaway Hawks vs. Spencer Greenwave

Hardaway is a perfect 4-0 against Spencer since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Hardaway Hawks will square off against the Spencer Greenwave at 5:30 p.m. Hardaway is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.9 runs per game this season.

Hardaway barely beat Manchester the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Hardaway put the hurt on Manchester with a sharp 13-2 victory on Monday. That's two games straight that the Hawks have won by exactly 11 runs.

The team relied heavily on Keshaun Davis, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Kei'Shawn Neal also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Spencer came up short against Columbus on Friday, falling 16-1. The Greenwave have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

The win made it two in a row for Hardaway and bumps their season record up to 10-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Spencer, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Hardaway took their victory against Spencer in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 13-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hardaway since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
