Softball Recap: Alexandria City Takes a Loss

Alexandria City came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Lake Braddock Bruins, falling 12-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-3 back in April.

Alexandria City saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Malia Cozier, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Cozier's first of the season. Another was Addie Tuttle, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Alexandria City's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Lake Braddock, their record now sits at 12-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Alexandria City will face off against rival South County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Lake Braddock is set to take on their familiar foe West Potomac at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
