Softball Recap: North East Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last five times North East and Bohemia Manor had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Indians lost 9-1 to the Eagles on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Indians have suffered since April 22, 2024.

North East saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Zellner, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

North East's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Bohemia Manor, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

While North East had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
