Basketball Recap: Sparta Takes a Loss

Sparta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 43-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greenville Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-19 back in January.

Sparta's record now sits at 0-19. As for Greenville, their win bumped their record up to 15-5.

Coincidentally, Sparta and Greenville will both be playing Cedar Springs the next time they take the court. Greenville will head out to face Cedar Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Sparta will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
