Basketball Recap: Cole Cougars vs. Harper Longhorns
Cole was the 38-31 winner over Harper when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Cole Cougars took a 45-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harper Longhorns on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by exactly 13 points.
Avaya Brundidge and Kendall Gonzales certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Brundidge earned ten points plus two blocks, while Gonzales posted 11 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Cole and nudges their season record down to 8-6. As for Harper, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cole will take on Floresville in a tournament on Thursday. As for Harper, they will square off against Medina at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
