North Salinas and King City are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2018, but likely not for long. The Vikings are taking a road trip to take on the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Salinas will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

North Salinas played against Seaside on Saturday and won via forfeit.

On Monday, King City came up short against Greenfield and fell 7-3. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

King City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacoby Chavez, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Robert Mandujano was another, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

North Salinas' win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-5. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 6.9 runs. As for King City, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

North Salinas couldn't quite get it done against King City when the teams last played back in April of 2023 as they fell 10-5. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
