Preview: Booker T. Washington Golden Eagles vs. LAMP Golden Tigers
After four games on the road, Booker T. Washington is heading back home. They will take on the LAMP Golden Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Booker T. Washington struggled with assists on Friday (Brewbaker Tech had ten more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Booker T. Washington took a 45-30 bruising from Brewbaker Tech. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Booker T. Washington has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Booker T. Washington saw an underclassman step up: Tylizea Sanders scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Fitzpatrick, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, LAMP lost to Bullock County at home by a decisive 43-27 margin on Tuesday.
Booker T. Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for LAMP, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
Booker T. Washington suffered a grim 42-20 defeat to LAMP when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Booker T. Washington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
