Jacksonville won the last time they faced South Central, and things went their way on Friday too. The Jacksonville Cardinals were the clear victor by a 53-28 margin over the South Central Falcons. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Falcons are ranked 146th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jacksonville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Demon June, who rushed for 104 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Clevon Akande and Da'Vaius Johnson certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Akande rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown, while Johnson picked up 82 receiving yards and a touchdown. Those 110 rushing yards gave Akande a new career-high. Another big playmaker for South Central was Drew Thomas, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Jacksonville pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.0 points per game. As for South Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Jacksonville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 64-0 victory against Northside - Jacksonville on the 1st. South Central has also already played their next contest, a 43-19 loss against D.H. Conley on the 1st.
