Softball Preview: Picayune Maroon Tide vs. Hancock Hawks

Picayune has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Hancock Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Picayune suffered a tough 12-4 loss at the hands of Purvis.

Kaigyn Kulas was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Watts, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Hancock stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over Long Beach. Winning may never get old, but Hancock sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Chaley Peterson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit over five innings pitched. Peterson has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
