Basketball Recap: Bishop Miege Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Miege). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Lawrence Lions 75-33. Given the Stags' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Lions are ranked 158th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bishop Miege's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mary Grant, who went 8 for 15 on her way to 17 points and four steals. With that strong performance, Grant is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Kirston Verhulst was another key player, going 7 of 11 en route to 15 points along with seven assists and four steals.
