Soccer Recap: McCallum Takes a Loss

If McCallum was feeling good fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Crockett last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The McCallum Knights fell 2-0 to the Anderson Trojans on Tuesday. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

McCallum's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1-1 and their overall record down to 5-2-3. As for Anderson, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

McCallum will face off against Cedar Creek at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in McCallum's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Cedar Creek has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road. As for Anderson, they will take on Richards School for Young Women Leaders at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
