The Montrose Red Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Monarch Coyotes at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Montrose is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Montrose is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They breezed past Frederick to the tune of 55-6. With the Red Hawks ahead 41-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Monarch ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against Riverdale Ridge by a score of 14-7. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Coyotes were the better team in the second half.

Monarch's win came from a few key players Montrose will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nico Rizzello, who threw for 137 yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Another player making a difference was Tyler Tharp, who picked up 102 receiving yards and one score.

Monarch's run defense was locked in: Riverdale Ridge could only muster 1.6 yards per carry. The Coyotes hasn't allowed more than 4.4 yards per carry in four consecutive contests.
